In America, the 2016 Chevy Trax will have a standard inline-4 1.4L engine on all trims. This engine will hold 4.2 US quarts of oil, including the filter. It should be filled with 5W-30 motor oil, but if you're in a really cold area, go for 0W-30 to prevent freezing. The oil drain plug will be 10mm, and you'll need 15 lbs-ft of torque to remove it with a power tool. Plan to change the oil every 7,500 miles.
