The Dodge Ram 1500 has a 36mm axle nut size. When working on your car and adding or removing lug nuts, it's important to handle them with care. If you tighten them too much, you risk breaking or stripping them, especially if they're old or rusty. Stripped lug nuts will just spin in the socket, making them difficult to remove. If this happens, you may need a mechanical press to push them out, but this could damage the wheel. If you break the bolts, you'll have to take off the rotor and unscrew them from the back. To avoid these issues, it's best to be cautious and avoid over-tightening.

Thank you, Greg, for your input. It appears that many others on this forum are providing inaccurate information. The correct details are that it is a 35mm 6-point measurement.

In 2008, I needed to find the right socket for the front drivers side hub nut on my Ram 1500. After reading various suggestions online and attempting to measure the nut with a caliper, I determined it was slightly less than 1 1/2 inches in size. According to the posts, it was supposed to be either 1 3/8” or 36 mm. So, I ordered a 36 mm socket, but unfortunately, it was too small. I then tried a 1 1/2” socket, but that was too big. Eventually, I managed to remove the nut with a 1 7/16” socket, although the fit was loose. Subsequent attempts with a 1 3/8” socket proved unsuccessful. I plan to take the nut to NAPA next week to find the correct socket size. I'll share my findings once I have them.

It's not 36mm - this was a wasted journey to the store for parts.

I'm also having trouble with the 35 millimeter camera.
