The lug nuts on a typical Chevrolet Bolt are usually M12 X1.50 in thread size, which is common for General Motors vehicles. If you're using the manufacturer's lug nuts, the hex heads will be 19mm or 3/4 inches. However, aftermarket lug nuts may have the same thread size but different hex head size and overall length. Many drivers choose to add locking lug nuts for added security, a highly recommended precaution. Losing a wheel to theft can make you realize the value of having a lock. While it may be a bit more effort to change your tires with locking lug nuts, the extra security makes it worthwhile.
