The drain plug for the Honda Civic oil pan is a m14 X1.50 bolt with a 17mm head. When changing the oil in the car, ensure the vehicle has been parked and turned off for a couple of hours to avoid burning yourself on the hot oil. Locate the oil pan in the engine compartment, find the drain plug underneath, and place a bucket beneath it. Remove the plug to let the oil drain into the pan, waiting until it stops dripping, which could take about an hour. Once drained, reattach the plug and locate the intake port on top of the oil pan. Use a funnel to fill the oil pan to the full level, being careful not to overfill to prevent leaks and oil burn off. After filling, close the port, clean up any spilled oil, and your oil change is complete.
