In the Toyota Corolla, the control for the windshield wipers is located to the right of the steering wheel. The car has 26-inch wipers on the driver's side and 16-inch blades on the passenger's side. To quickly clear mist from the window, pull the stalk up to the "Mist" setting and let go. The wipers will make one pass. To keep the wipers moving constantly, push the stick all the way down. It will click into place and move rapidly. To adjust for lighter rain, move the stalk to a lower position. This will reduce the wiper speed and frequency. You can also manually set the wiper parameters by turning a separate dial near the main control stick, which has three white lines indicating low, medium, and high operation.
