The Ford Mustang uses peak oet radiator coolant. The spark plugs should be changed every 100,000 miles, except for copper ones which should be changed every 30,000 miles. The air filter needs replacing every 15,000 to 30,000 miles, while the coolant should be replaced every 60,000 miles. Various engine issues can occur, such as loose gaskets needing to be tightened and spark plugs popping off causing problems. Engine overheating is a serious issue that can lead to fires and vehicle explosions. Excessive oil consumption may require earlier oil changes, and any oil leaks should be fixed promptly.

For the Ford Mustang, it's best to use dex-cool antifreeze as the coolant. Make sure to fill the coolant reservoir to the cool fill line when the engine is cold.
