For a 2011 Nissan Murano, about 4.6 quarts of 5w-30 viscosity oil is needed for an oil change. When you're about to do the oil change, ensure the car has been off and cooled down for a couple of hours to avoid burning yourself from the hot oil. Locate the oil pan and drain plug underneath the engine compartment. Place a bucket beneath the plug, remove it, and allow the oil to drain fully. It may take around an hour for it to stop dripping. Once done, reattach the drain plug and then find the intake port on top of the oil pan. Use a funnel to fill the oil pan to the proper level, being cautious not to overfill. It's okay to be a bit under the full mark, but going over may cause leaks and oil consumption. After filling it up, close the port, clean any spilled oil, and your oil change is complete.

NISSAN suggests using genuine NISSAN Ester Engine Oil from an authorized dealer. If you opt for a different brand, make sure to choose SAE 5W-30 oil with the API Certification Mark for the 2011 Nissan Murano. The engine oil capacity for this vehicle is 4.8 quarts (4.6 liters).
