The 2003 Ford F-150 pickup truck comes with a starter relay fuse situated in the main fuse box located under the hood in the engine compartment. Open the hood of your truck and locate the main fuse box at the front of the engine bay near the battery. It is an elongated black plastic box. Open the lid of the box to access a panel containing relays, fuses, and switches. Refer to the chart on the box's lid to identify the starter relay by its corresponding number and match it to the one inside.

To locate the starter relay, trace the cables starting from the battery until you reach a protective plastic cover that houses the starter relay. The starter, located underneath, is equipped with its own solenoid. The relay enables the solenoid to function. Make sure to test whether the small wire at the starter lights up initially.
