The 2006 Honda Odyssey had a 3.5L V6 engine in all its versions. While there were two variations of this engine, they both require the same amount and type of oil, which is 4.5 US quarts of either 5W-20 or 0W-20 synthetic. Either oil type will work well for this van. Many Honda owners opt for Honda's own oil brand, but the choice is ultimately yours and whether the extra cost is worth it is open for debate. If you prefer having a professional perform the oil change, expect to pay around $110 at a shop.

The 2006 Honda Odyssey comes with two different versions of the 3.5L V6 engine, known as the J35A6 K and J35A7 J. Both versions require 4.5 quarts of synthetic oil. Honda allows the use of either 5W20 or 0W20 weight oil for this vehicle model.
