For the 2009 Ford Flex, it's suggested that you utilize Motorcraft High Performance DOT 3 brake fluid. If your brake fluid levels become too low, a warning will appear in your vehicle. To reset the warning, just add more fluid. Open your hood and find the reservoir, which is located next to the battery on the driver side of the engine and has a clear body with a black cap. You'll see markers on the reservoir indicating the MINImum and maximum levels. Fill the fluid up to the maximum level and you'll be ready to go.
