The 2017 Dodge Durango uses Mopar OAT coolant. There are several potential engine issues to watch out for. A loose spark plug could lead to problems, as well as a loose gasket that will need to be tightened. Overheating is a serious concern as it could result in car fires or even an explosion. Be mindful of excessive oil consumption and change the oil promptly when needed. Replace the air filter every 15,000 to 30,000 miles, the coolant every 60,000 miles, and the spark plugs approximately every 100,000 miles except for copper ones, which should be changed every 30,000 miles or so.

Dodge recommends using the mopar ® antifreeze / engine coolant 10 year/150,000 mile oat formula or an equivalent for their 2017 durango models.
