The 2009 Chevrolet Silverado with dual zone climate control features two blend door actuators. The passenger's side blend door is located under the kick panel on the passenger's side, below the glove box. Removing this panel is necessary for access. The driver's side actuator can be found above the accelerator on the driver's side of the vehicle, secured with three T20 screws. Repair costs are estimated to be between $275 and $340, which is unfortunate due to the frequent failure of these actuators. The internal components have plastic gear teeth, and a break in these gears often results in a noticeable clicking noise. This issue may or may not trigger a diagnostic trouble code (DTC), making diagnosis a bit uncertain.

If you're referring to the door lock actuator, it is located inside the door where the latch is. They are difficult to reach and replace, requiring you to remove the door panel.
