In a 2003 Chevy Impala, the body control module is situated under the center console. You can access it by removing the console paneling and then detaching the top of the console from the vehicle. Inside, you will find a black plastic box with multiple wire harnesses plugged in. This is essentially a computer that manages various functions within the car's body, such as the locks, power windows, and alarm system. If you experience any issues with these systems, it is recommended to utilize a scan tool on the body control module to identify potential computer malfunctions.
