To access the body control module (BCM) on a 2008 Chevrolet HHR, you will need to remove the kick panel on the passenger's side, which is situated below the glove box. After removing it, you'll locate the BCM on the left side, held in place by three screws or bolts. If you are considering replacing it, be aware of the associated costs. A new replacement typically costs around $250, while a remanufactured one may be slightly over $200. Before jumping to replace the BCM, consider that the issue may be due to a failed relay or fuse instead. It is recommended to check for diagnostic codes and attempt to identify the problematic component before proceeding with a full replacement.
Check under the kick panel on the right side of the center console to find the body control module.
