The camshaft position sensor in the 2010 Chevrolet Equinox is a bit tricky to find. It will require about 6 to 12 minutes of your time. To start, head to the front of your car and use the prop rod on the passenger side of the engine bay to keep the hood securely open. Look to the left of the engine block where you'll see the cylinder head with a timing cover on top. Lift the black cover to reveal the camshaft position sensor below. If you find that the sensor needs replacing, expect to spend anywhere from $40 to $130 on a new one.
