The 2018 Chevy Equinox diesel fuel filter can be found on the right side of the vehicle in front of the rear tire. It is connected to the fuel lines located underneath the vehicle, running from the fuel tank to the front. Due to diesel fuel being dirtier than regular gasoline, changing diesel fuel filters remains simple. Chevrolet has designed them this way to facilitate the process, as diesel fuel is more prone to contamination and particles. One common issue to be aware of is detecting water in the filter. If this occurs, the filter should be removed, and the water emptied out.
