To access the fuse box, check to the left of the steering wheel for a small seam or crack along the dashboard. Use a screwdriver or prybar to open it up. Inside, you'll see several fuses. On the back of the opened panel, there should be a diagram showing what each fuse is for. If not, you can find the information in the vehicle's owner's manual. Once you identify the needed fuse, simply pull it out. Look for a thin strip of metal connecting the two raised sections of the fuse. If this strip is broken, the fuse is no longer functional and needs to be replaced. If the strip is intact, the fuse is fine and can be reinserted. Replacement fuses are inexpensive, costing around $10.

I believe Kenneth was referring to the fuse box located under the hood on the driver's side of the car, as well as the hidden panel inside the car on the passenger side floorboard containing interior fuses. It's surprising that some adults struggle to articulate this information.

In your Cobalt, there are two fuse boxes. One can be found under the hood near the main engine cover, while the other is located on the side of the center console, close to the passenger side floor. To access the second one, you will need to use a tool like a screwdriver to open it up, and inside you will find the fuse box. Be cautious not to damage the clips on the panel when doing so.

On the left side by the steering wheel, there is also a fuse box located on the right side behind the panel close to the floor.
