In the 2013 Ford F-150, the fuse for your tail lights is located at position 40 in the passenger compartment fuse panel. This is a 10 ampere fuse. The fuse panel sits under the right side of the instrument panel. To reach it, you must remove a small trim panel with two access tabs, one on each side of the trim piece. It's important to remember that fuse 40 also controls the license plate light. If your license plate light is working, then the issue may be something else. Fuses don't blow without reason, so even after replacing the fuse, it's essential to look for the root cause as they serve as protection against voltage spikes.
The fuse box can be found underneath the right side of the dashboard.
On my 2012 Ford F150, can you please tell me which color wire corresponds to the rear tail light and which one is for the ground?
Thank you very much
