In a 2002 Ford F-150, the gem module can be found inside the fuse panel located in the cab of the truck. To access the fuse box, look to the left of the steering wheel and locate a small seam or crack along the dashboard. Use a screwdriver or prybar to open this panel. Inside, you will find several fuses. On the back of the panel you opened, there should be a diagram showing you the purpose of each fuse. If this information is not on the back of the panel, you can also find it in the owner's manual for the vehicle. Once you determine which fuse you need, simply remove it. Check if the thin strip of metal connecting the two sections of the fuse is intact – if it's broken, the fuse is faulty and needs to be replaced. If the strip is intact, the fuse is still good and can be reinserted. Replacement fuses are relatively inexpensive, costing around $10 each.
