In the 2011 Chevy Traverse, the amplifier is situated behind the radio unit. To access it, you will need to remove the radio. If the amplifier is malfunctioning, it is likely due to a faulty fuse. The fuse can be found in the fuse box located to the left of the steering wheel. To access the fuse box, look for a small opening or groove along the dashboard to the left of the steering wheel. Use a screwdriver or prybar to open it. Inside, you will find several fuses. On the back of the opened panel, there will be a diagram indicating the purpose of each fuse. If this diagram is not present, you can refer to the vehicle's owner's manual. Identify the fuse you need, then remove it. A good fuse will have a thin strip of metal connecting the two raised sections. If this strip is broken, the fuse is defective and must be replaced. If the strip is intact, the fuse is fine and can be reinserted. Replacement fuses are inexpensive, typically costing around 10 dollars.

I own a 2011 Chevy Traverse and the fuses are actually located under the glove box, not where you mentioned.

In 2009, I had trouble locating the amplifier in my Traverse and 2010 Acadia, despite people pointing me in the right direction. I even visited a junkyard and saw similar cars with and without amplifiers. Surprisingly, my 2010 Acadia seems to be working okay without a visible amp, but the Traverse is having issues.
