The intelligent control box for a 2008 Ford Escape can be found situated behind the dashboard on the passenger's side of the car. To access it, start by removing the glove box. Open the glove box and then unscrew the bolts on either side. After removing the bolts, push inwards on both sides of the glove box and pull to release it. With the glove box removed, you can proceed to take out the passenger's side dashboard. This will require removing the center panels using a pry tool and a standard set of hand tools.
