You can locate the starter for your 2009 Chevrolet Aveo under the hood in the engine compartment. It's situated at the back side of the engine, between the firewall and the drive axle, and resembles two metal cans stacked on top of each other. If you're having trouble identifying it, replacing it is actually quite easy. You just have to disconnect the negative battery cable, unscrew the upper and lower mounting bolts, disconnect the wiring harness, and then pull it out.
