In the 2009 Nissan Versa, you can locate the starter relay in the main fuse box located under the hood. Upon opening the top of the fuse box, you will find a diagram at the back indicating the relay's position. When the starter relay malfunctions, the electrical signal won't reach the starter motor from the battery, causing the engine not to turn over. A defective relay may emit a noticeable clicking noise when you try to start your car. If your vehicle is experiencing a faulty starter relay, you may hear a slight buzzing sound when the key is turned or the ignition button is pressed.
