In the Ford Ranger, the USB port is situated in the center console. If it's not functioning, you should inspect the fuse. To access the fuse box, check to the left of the steering wheel for a small seam or crack on the dashboard. To open it, use a screwdriver or prybar. Inside, you'll find multiple fuses. The back of the panel you removed will display a diagram detailing the purpose of each fuse. If absent, you can also refer to the vehicle's owner's manual. Identify the required fuse and remove it. A functional fuse will have a thin strip of metal connecting the two raised sections. If this strip is broken, the fuse is defective and needs to be replaced. If the strip is intact, reinsert the fuse. New fuses are inexpensive, typically costing around $10.
