The actuator of the 2012 Chevrolet Traverse is situated on the right side of the dashboard for passengers. It operates electronically, adjusting according to temperature changes by using electrical signals to turn the motor until the door is correctly positioned. If you are experiencing airflow that is either too hot or too cold, this component may be a contributing factor. Repairing it is straightforward: simply remove the panel beneath the glove box, unscrew the component, and disconnect its power source. It's not a difficult task at all. If you need a new part, consider the Dorman A/C Heater Blend Door Actuator, #604-140, priced at approximately $76 at Autozone, and it is compatible with your Traverse model.
