Some versions of the Ford F-150 come with adaptive cruise control and "lane keep assist" for added safety and driving assistance. Among the different trims, the F-150 Platinum offers adaptive cruise control as an optional feature. Adaptive cruise control, or ACC, utilizes sensors in the front bumper and cameras on the windshield to monitor the surrounding traffic. This radar technology, similar to what law enforcement uses, can detect the speed and distance of nearby vehicles and adjust the truck's cruise control speed to maintain a safe distance. In the event of an accident, it's recommended to inspect the radar sensors located as part of the fender/bumper assembly.
