In a Ford Transit, the ambient air temperature sensor is situated in the engine compartment near the front bumper. To locate it easily, you can go under the vehicle from the front side and look up towards the passenger side to spot the compressor. Adjacent to the compressor are two hoses, with the larger one being the high pressure hose. By following this hose to its end, you will find the ambient sensor at that spot. If you're thinking of replacing the sensor yourself, the part number is 6M5Z 15A022 A for model years 2015 and beyond. If you opt to pay for a replacement, the cost will be between $80 to $110, with labor making up $50 to $70 of that amount.
