The Ford Transit's block heater is positioned near the front of the engine. Various engine issues may occur, such as excessive oil consumption leading to the need for more frequent oil changes. Engine overheating is a critical problem that can result in fires and even vehicle explosions. Loose gaskets should be promptly tightened, and loose spark plugs can cause engine troubles. Timely repair of oil leaks is crucial. Coolant should be replaced every 60,000 miles, while spark plugs need to be replaced every 100,000 miles unless copper, in which case it's every 30,000 miles. The air filter should be changed every 15,000 to 30,000 miles.
