Your mass absolute pressure (MAP) sensor is now placed on the airbox after the air filter, instead of the throttle body where you would normally find a mass air flow (MAF) sensor on a 2013 Ford Escape. The function is similar, but the MAP measures both vacuum and positive air pressures. If the MAP sensor is dirty, you can clean it with a spray cleaner. However, it's easy to replace the sensor, so it might be worth purchasing a new one from AutoZone for around $32.
The map sensor can be found in the upper region of the engine bay.
