The location of the mass air flow sensor on a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee is downstream from the air filter on the intake pipe. Various engine issues can arise, such as loose gaskets that should be promptly tightened, oil leaks that need immediate attention, and possible spark plug dislodgement leading to engine problems. A critical concern is engine overheating, which may result in car fires or even explosions. Excessive oil consumption may necessitate timely oil changes. It is recommended to replace the air filter every 15,000 to 30,000 miles, change the coolant every 60,000 miles, and replace spark plugs every 100,000 miles unless using copper plugs, which should be changed every 30,000 miles or so.
I don't have an airflow sensor on my 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee WG. Can you provide further guidance, Brian? I do have a MAP sensor though.
The mass air flow sensor for the 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee can be found on the intake pipe following the air filter.
