The 2018 Chevy Malibu doesn't have a trunk release button inside the cabin. There are just two methods to open the trunk. The first way is to use the key fob by pressing and holding the trunk release button. The latch will then release. The second method is to unlock the vehicle and press the button located under the ledge on the trunk to release the latch. If you're inside the cabin and need to open the trunk, using the fob is the simplest option.
