Occasionally, the blend door actuator in your 2015 Ford Taurus may stop working. This is a common issue, as it uses plastic parts inside. When it fails, you may notice a lack of warm air and hear a noticeable clicking noise from the dashboard. Fortunately, replacing the actuator is a simple and not too expensive task. You can locate the actuator on the passenger side behind the dashboard of the '15 Taurus. To access it, you will need to remove the glove box. The actuator stands out with its light cream color against the black background. It is secured with two easily removable bolts and a wiring harness. Replacing it should not take more than 15 or 20 minutes, even for those who are not experienced with car repairs.
The blend door actuator can be found close to the recirculation door actuator and glove box when located on the passenger side of the vehicle.
