The cabin air filter in a 2017 Toyota RAV4 is located behind the glove box. To reach the filter, you'll have to remove the outer casing of the glove box. You won't need any tools to do this. Start by opening the glove box, placing a hand on each side of the lower area outside the box, and pushing inwards with force before pulling it out. The outer casing should come off easily, providing access to the filter. A replacement filter typically costs between $10 and $25. Doing this task yourself will be much more cost-effective compared to the $100+ charged by a mechanic or dealership. It's recommended to change the filter every 30,000 to 40,000 miles.
