The coolant temperature sensor on the 2000 Honda CR-V is located at the top of the radiator assembly. Various issues can arise with the engine, such as a spark plug detaching, a loose gasket needing tightening, oil leaks requiring quick repairs, or the serious risk of engine overheating, potentially leading to fires or explosions. Excessive oil consumption may necessitate more frequent oil changes. It is recommended to change the coolant every 60,000 miles, replace the air filter every 15,000 to 30,000 miles, and change spark plugs every 100,000 miles, unless using a copper spark plug, which should be swapped out every 30,000 miles.
