The 2008 Chevy Uplander will have its crankshaft position sensor situated on the lower right side of the engine block, close to the relays. You can locate it without removing any components, but it may be easier to find if you check underneath the vehicle rather than under the hood. A new sensor will range from $20 to $60 depending on whether you choose an OEM or aftermarket part. For professional installation, expect to pay between $160 and $260.
