In the 2008 Nissan Pathfinder, you can locate the ecm relay in the fuse box. Look to the left of the steering wheel for a small seam or crack on the dash. Use a screwdriver or prybar to open the fuse box. Inside, you'll find several fuses. Check the back of the panel you opened for a diagram that shows what each fuse is for. If it's not there, you can also find this information in the owner's manual for the vehicle. Identify the fuse you need and pull it out. If the thin strip of metal connecting the two raised sections is broken, the fuse is no good and needs to be replaced. If the strip is intact, the fuse is fine and can be reinserted. Replacement fuses are affordable, costing around $10.
Can you please clarify the specific location of the relay in a 2008 Nissan Pathfinder?
