In a 2005 Ford Focus, the turn signal relay, also called the flasher, can be found under the steering column inside the dashboard. The turn signal relay is responsible for controlling the turn signal lights in your car. Before making a stop, turn, or lane change, it's important to signal your intentions to other drivers. You can do this by using your hand signals, or by using the turn signals and brake lights on your vehicle. Give a signal at least 100 feet in advance to give other drivers time to react.
