The fuel filter of a 2005 Honda CR-V is typically located in the rear part of the engine bay, positioned between the battery and engine, and is secured to a harness near the middle of the bay. Depending on the model, the filter may be positioned to the left or right of the battery when facing the engine. In some CR-Vs, the filter is placed underneath the air intake housing and large intake tube, adjacent to the battery. To replace the filter in this scenario, the air box needs to be taken out. It is recommended to change the fuel filter every 30,000 miles or 2 years for older vehicles, or with every other oil change when using synthetic lubricants.
