If you're familiar with the location, it's fairly easy to locate the lever to open the hood of your 2018 Ford Escape. Although the lever inside the car is in its usual spot, it doesn't have any markings. It is situated near the driver's side door, close to where your left foot would be while driving. Simply pull it toward you to release the hood latch. Then, look slightly to the left of the middle of the front of the car, starting from the Ford emblem. Locate a yellow lever a few inches to the left and pull it to the right while lifting the hood upward to unlatch and open it.

In a 2018 Ford Escape, the lever to release the hood is located underneath the dashboard, next to the driver's side door hinges. Once you pull the lever to unlock the hood, you'll need to find another latch located under the hood on the top panel near the radiator. To fully open and secure the hood, make sure to use the hood stick provided.
