As the proud owner of a 2004 Chevy Colorado, if you find yourself needing to locate the oil pressure sensor in your vehicle, don't worry—it's a quick and easy task that'll only require 5 to 8 minutes of your time. First, head to the front of your car and use the prop arm on the left side of the engine bay to secure the hood in an upright position. Then, take a peek inside the engine compartment. The engine will occupy a substantial amount of space, but if you look along the top of the engine block towards the rear, you'll see a small black cover. Simply lift the cover, and underneath, you'll find the oil pressure sensor.

The oil pressure sensor switch for the 2004 Chevy Colorado can be found above the oil filter, easily reachable from underneath the front passenger side. You can also access it using a wrench extension through a flap above the wheel in the wheel well without having to remove any engine cover or wheel. I replaced mine this morning without any trouble.
