The 2008 Ford Focus PCV valve is located beneath the intake manifold on the duratec engine. It is attached to the valve cover with a hose that connects to the engine and secured in place with a clamp. Signs of a faulty PCV valve include reduced fuel efficiency, more oil usage, and a rough idle. A clogged or leaking valve hose may result from excessive vacuum on the intake side of the cylinder head, causing incorrect fuel measurement by the ECU and potentially leading to engine running too lean or too rich.
