The 2007 Chevy Equinox's speed sensor, found on the transmission, is easy to locate in your SUV. Start by popping the hood and using the prop arm to secure it open. Then, check the right side of the engine bay for the speed sensor, mounted to the transmission body next to the output shaft at the front or rear of the housing. If the sensor is not working, you'll need to get a replacement, which typically costs between $23 and $98.
