To keep your 2010 Mazda CX7 running smoothly, make sure to use Mazda Genuine ATF M-III or M-V, or a similar fluid like Dexron II, in the automatic transmission. The power steering reservoir is located on the left side of the engine compartment near the front. Check the fluid level in the power steering reservoir every 5000 miles. You only need to replace the fluid if you find a leak and the pump needs replacing. Look for markings on the reservoir indicating the correct fluid level. As long as the fluid falls between these marks, you're good. If you find yourself frequently adding fluid to maintain the correct level, there might be a leak in the system to check out.
