There could be a few reasons why the heated seats in your Subaru Crosstrek might stop working. The most usual cause is a blown fuse. The vehicle has several fuses, and the one for the heated seats is located in the engine compartment. Be sure to replace the blown fuse with a new one of the same amperage rating. Also, check the electrical plug under the seat to ensure it's securely connected to the main wiring harness. If power is reaching the seat, the plug is fine, but there may be an electrical issue. In rarer cases, the thermistor, which regulates the seat temperature, could be the problem. Lastly, there might be an issue with the heater element, as the wire is delicate and can break. If you notice burn marks in the fabric above the heater element wire, this is likely the issue.
