The Ford Fusion Hybrid battery is expected to last around 130,000 miles before needing replacement. Although it will eventually wear out, requiring a new battery every 50,000 to 60,000 miles, it's something you'll have to budget for in order to keep your car operational. Issues may arise with the battery during the vehicle's lifespan, such as leaks causing fluid to spill or complete drainage, which will prompt you to recharge or replace it. Rapid drainage or a cracked case could also necessitate a full replacement.

My 2013 Fusion SE Hybrid from America has driven 141,170 miles without any issues with the battery. I'm currently getting 44.2 miles per gallon, with a lifetime average of 41.2. I reside in Phoenix. Don't listen to those who claim that the Hybrid battery must be replaced at 50,000 miles - that's just not accurate.

My 2013 Fusion hybrid has reached 111,000 miles without any issues. It's consistently getting between 42 to 45 miles per gallon using the original brakes and spark plugs. This car has been the most cost-effective vehicle I've ever had in terms of cost per mile. In case the main battery needs replacing, I've identified a supplier located 38 miles away who sells batteries for $2,350.

I drive a 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid with around 170,000 miles on it, and my battery is still in excellent condition without any need for servicing. I'm not sure where the previous commenter got the idea that it needs to be replaced every 50,000 miles.

As an American, I can debunk the battery myth for you. I drive a 2017 Ford Fusion Platinum with over 200,000 miles on it. Despite the high mileage, my battery still provides me with 16 miles of electric power after charging it 12 times a week, mostly during highway drives. Although my car continues to run well, I am planning to invest in a new battery to restore the range back to 26 miles. This purchase is definitely worth it for me, especially since I usually prefer Volvo cars.

My 2014 Ford Fusion Hybrid SE has 198,000 miles and the battery is in good condition following a recent inspection at the Ford dealership.
