In the 2017 Honda HR-V, the trunk and cargo area sizes range from 23.2 to 24.3 cubic feet with the seats up, and 55.9 to 58.8 cubic feet with the seats folded down. You can access an additional storage compartment by lifting a flap in the vehicle's floor. This compartment is where the seats can be stowed by pulling a lever on the side of the seats to release them into the compartment. They will lock into place with a click. Reversing this process to bring the seats back up should only take around a minute or two to complete.
