The 2011 Honda CR-V was equipped with a 2.4 L 4-cylinder engine as standard on all trims. This engine requires 4.4 US quarts of motor oil. It is recommended to use synthetic 0W-20 oil in all climates to prevent freezing issues. An oil change should be done every 7,500 miles. The oil drain plug has a 17mm head size and needs 24 ft-lbs of torque to be removed with a torque wrench. If you lack a torque wrench, a 17mm socket wrench or oil wrench can be used instead.
