Could you tell me the size of the lug nut for a Ford Focus?

The Ford Focus has M12 x 1.50 lug nuts with a 19mm hex size. This means the lug nuts have an M12 thread and are 1.5 inches long. You'll need a 19mm socket to remove and tighten the lug nuts. While it's fine to use an impact driver to remove the lug nuts, make sure to use a socket, tire iron, or torque wrench when installing them. Using an impact driver when installing can overtighten the lugs, potentially causing them to strip and get stuck on the wheel hubs.

I just used a 19mm socket on a Ford Focus, but it was too tight. When I tried the next size up, it seemed to break the nut.

A common problem with older Ford vehicles is rust causing the sleeve to expand over the nut. Use a hammer on a socket that fits, like 3/4 inch, 20mm, or 21mm, to remove it. Don't risk being stuck with a flat tire - make sure to replace all the parts with new ones.

Okay. So, we're on the same page. Normally, you'd use a 19mm socket size, but if the aluminum covering on the lug nut is damaged (which can occur during tire rotations at stores), you'll need to switch to an 18mm socket to take off the lug nut.

The Ford Focus uses lug nuts with a thread size of M12 x 1.50 and requires a 19mm socket for removal.

If the lug nut is not the original one for the car, you may need to use a different socket size to remove it. I am currently facing this issue.

I rotate my tires using a 3/4 tool. I have been rotating the tires on my 2013 ST every time I get an oil change for the past decade.
