The Toyota Tacoma 2012 has speaker sizes of 6x9 inches in the front and rear doors, and 3 1/2 inches in the front dash. If you experience audio issues, it could be due to problems with the stereo's speakers or a connected phone. It's important to address these problems promptly. For phone-related nuisances, it could be issues with software updates, syncing with the vehicle, low battery, or signal interference. If the audio problems stem from the stereo's speakers, you might encounter static noise, sudden power loss, loose wiring, or a blown fuse.

My 2012 Tacoma Access Cab is equipped with 6x9 inch speakers located at the bottom of the front doors, accompanied by 3-inch tweeters near the door latch and lock button. Additionally, there are two small speakers discreetly placed overhead between the roof and the headliner, although their size is unknown. Notably, the Access Cab model does not come with speakers in the rear door unless added by the current or previous owner.

When I took out the speakers from their mount, I discovered that the bolts holding them are spaced 3.5 inches apart, but the speaker's actual dimensions are about 2 and 5/8 inches wide and 1 and 1/4 inches deep at the mounting holes. Make sure to purchase tweeters with caution based on these measurements.
