A black box or case will be situated along the right side of the engine compartment with a visible seam running around it. Opening this case will reveal the fuse inside. The back of the case lid should contain a diagram indicating the purpose of each fuse. If this information is not available on the case, you can refer to the car's owner's manual. Once you identify the problematic fuse, carefully remove it. Check for a thin metal strip connecting the two raised sections of the fuse. If this strip is broken, the fuse is faulty and must be replaced. If the strip is intact, you can reinstall the fuse. Replacement fuses typically cost around 10 dollars, making them an affordable solution.
